Our NAS Backup Services
- NAS as central backup target for all PCs, laptops and servers
- Synology Active Backup, Veeam and Acronis configuration
- RAID 1/5/6 on NAS so drive failures do not lose backups
- Scheduled hourly, daily and weekly backup jobs with versioning
- NAS-to-cloud sync for an offsite copy (C2, Azure, Wasabi)
- Backup monitoring, email alerts and remote restore access
Planning the Right Approach
- Capacity: Size the NAS to hold full backups plus historical versions for the retention period you need.
- Redundancy: Use RAID and dual power so the backup device itself survives a drive or power failure.
- Security: Restrict backup share access and encrypt data so backups cannot be tampered with or stolen.
- Backup: Add cloud sync so the NAS backup has an offsite copy, completing a proper 3-2-1 strategy.
How Our Process Works
- Assessment: Review the site, existing environment, users, requirements and the problem to be solved before selecting equipment or changing configuration.
- Solution Design: Choose the scope, equipment, configuration and implementation approach around compatibility, capacity, security and budget.
- Installation / Configuration: Carry out the agreed work methodically while protecting the existing environment and business continuity where relevant.
- Testing & Validation: Test the system against the intended use case rather than assuming that installation alone means the solution is complete.
- Documentation & Handover: Provide the key configuration, ownership and maintenance information needed for support, future changes and responsible administration.
Why Professional NAS Backup Matters
- Prevents unreliable manual backups to swapped external drives
- Stops one drive failure destroying the only backup copy
- Avoids silent backup failures no one notices until too late
- Prevents ransomware wiping backups with no offsite copy
- Avoids slow, painful recovery when backups are disorganised
